# HTML Introduction
HTML (**HyperText Markup Language**) is the standard **markup language** used to structure content on the web. It was created by **Tim Berners-Lee** in **1991** alongside the early World Wide Web.
Unlike C, Python, or Java, HTML isn't a programming language — it has no logic, loops, or variables. Instead, it describes the structure of a page using **elements and tags**: headings, paragraphs, links, images, forms, and more. Browsers read HTML and render it as a visual page.
